Minecraft: Story Mode - A Telltale Game Collection is an episodic, narrative-driven game sequence based in Minecraft's blocky world, coming in 2015 to Pc, Mac, cellular devices and what Mojang calls "Xbox consoles" and "PlayStation consoles." We've reached out to Telltale for clarification on platforms.
The sport has an unique storyline that's influenced by the alternatives gamers make, similar to Telltale's different offerings, Tales from the Borderlands, Sport of Thrones, The Wolf Among Us and The Walking Lifeless. "Telltale's recreation sequence will mix new characters with familiar themes, in a wholly authentic Minecraft experience, inspired by the Minecraft group and the sport that continues to inspire a era," Telltale writes.
Mojang presents somewhat extra detail about its approach to story on its blog: "We're not intending on creating an 'official' story for Steve, or explaining the world of Minecraft in detail. It will be a cool recreation."
Mojang revealed the collaboration with a mini-recreation referred to as Data Quest 2 (which is pretty adorable). Microsoft completed a $2.5 billion acquisition of Mojang in November.
